The Trailer to Jay Leno's Movie Is the Best Thing Ever

That was fantastic! I am surprised it didn’t top more best of the decade lists at the end of 1k999. Jay Leno as a “buddy-buddy” cop is the perfect role for him. Perhaps he should give up late night and go backz to the silverscreenz!

Here are some great quotes from that trailer that I am sure took a whole lot of time/effort/artistic-brilliance to write. Continue reading…

These Hipsters Would Die In The Woods

This doesn’t even look ironic…so it looks like these hipsters would die in Brooklyn as well. But in the case the hipsters did end up surviving, perhaps one of these things would be able to finish them off.

I Take It All Back, Rostam Batmanglij is Still the Best

Despite some minor production misjudgments in the recent past, Rostam Batmanglij is still the best. I’m so excited for him, receiving this very prestigious title that I just gave him and all! Now some explanation as to why we’ve turned into VampireWeekendOctopus.com recently and more importantly why Rostam is so great… Continue reading…

Trailer Craving: Why Does The Expendables Look Like It is Straight for DVD?

[vodpod id=Groupvideo.3650476&w=425&h=350&fv=]

Honestly I cannot place it. The movie has a cast of high-profile actors, there seems to be a great deal of special effects, and there seems to be a fair amount of promotion for this movie, which should all lead to the fact that a great deal of money went into making this. So why does it have that undeniable “look” of a straight-to-dvd movie?

One would assume a great deal of money was saved by buying the script from an 8th grader who wrote as a creative writing assignment, but still. I assume the guy who was in such Oscar worthy movies such as Death Race (obviously I know who Jason Statham is) don’t come cheap. But I may be wrong!
