The Room Sequel Game

You are tearing me apart!

You're tearing me apart!

According to a recentish (actually not recent at all!) special report by ABCs World News Webcast with Charlie Gibson, The Room (the best movie of the year, which year? every year) may have a sequel in the works. At first thought, this idea sounds terrible and possibly legacy ruining, as Tommy Wiseau is by now entirely in on the joke of his movie. So could a sequel possibly do anything but ruin the greatness of the original? Well that is what we’re here to figure out.

The Room Sequel Game is played by coming up with the most ridiculous/terrible movie plot concerning the characters of The Room, that would be worth the making of a sequel.

Movie Craving: New Youth In Revolt Poster

poster_youth_in_revolt_ver2

So that’s pretty the worst. When I heard about this movie coming out, I was fairly excited as I enjoyed the book back in the day. But now I am not excited. Now I am just filled with dread and sadness when I should be filled with ice cream and sunshine. As Don Draper always says, “Fill the consumer with ice cream and sunshine.” And Don Draper is never wrong.

Video Craving: "Next Level Flip Book Craziness"

[vodpod id=Groupvideo.3653645&w=425&h=350&fv=]

Don’t show this guy your flip books! I know you think you spent a lot of time making sure your stick figure completes a back flip “just right,” but this guy will destroy you.

Trailer Craving: Why Does The Expendables Look Like It is Straight for DVD?

[vodpod id=Groupvideo.3650476&w=425&h=350&fv=]

Honestly I cannot place it. The movie has a cast of high-profile actors, there seems to be a great deal of special effects, and there seems to be a fair amount of promotion for this movie, which should all lead to the fact that a great deal of money went into making this. So why does it have that undeniable “look” of a straight-to-dvd movie?

One would assume a great deal of money was saved by buying the script from an 8th grader who wrote as a creative writing assignment, but still. I assume the guy who was in such Oscar worthy movies such as Death Race (obviously I know who Jason Statham is) don’t come cheap. But I may be wrong!
