So supposedly someone’s cousin met Michael Cera at a coffee shop, had a 2 hour conversation with him, and then got this snazzy list of movies and TV shows that George Michael Bluth is a fan of. Pretty solid list I must say. Wes Anderson? Check. Kurosawa? Check. Coen Bros? Check.
Scott Pilgrim vs. The World opened in theaters today, and to coincide with the film’s release graphic designer Martin Ansin created this epic poster (which you can buy if you live in the Austin, Texas area. It went on sale at the Alama Drafthouse South Lamar today).
Make sure to check out the film, which stars Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Jason Schwartzman, Chris Evans, Kieran Culkin, Anna Kendrick, and Aubrey Plaza.
Vulture did a quick interview with Arrested Development series creator Mitch Hurwitz in which we learned these precious nuggest of info:
The script for the film is about halfway done.
All of the main cast members are on board.
It will not make any money at the box office.
So there ya’ have it, kids! After months and months of speculation in which seemingly every principal cast member was questioned about the likelihood of a big screen version of the cult TV show, it would seem that it might actually (and surprisingly) find it’s way to a movie theater. Steve Holt!
A new trailer for Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World was just released. The most exciting part about the video is that we learn Anne is one of the evil exes that George Michael is going to have to fight! Her? Cool! Click through for the trailer.
Another, even more amazing trailer for Edgar Wright’s upcoming adaptation of the graphic novel in which Scott Pilgrim (Michael Cera) has to defeat the 7 exes of the girl that he loves (played by Mary Elizabeth Winstead) has hit the web today. So sure, Cera is basically playing his signature role that we’ve seen about a million times before. Except that now he’s kind of an action star. And also kind of awesome.
The cast for this film is just incredible. In addition to Cera and Winstead, it also features Jason Schwartzman, Kieran Culkin, Oscar-nominee Anna Kendrick, Chris Evans, “Parks and Recreation’s” Aubrey Plaza, Alison Pill, and Mae Whitman (Her?). So in short, everyone just needs to set aside August 13th as Scott Pilgrim Day.

Was the Olympics opening ceremonyz horrible? Should Michael Cera have been playing hockey with Wayne Gretzky while eating maple syrup? Do you have other suggestions?
Picture Above: The best weatherman in the world was fired, so he made possibly the greatest montage in the history of weatherman related montages. I had no idea who this man was before the video, but now I am really sad that he is leaving us.
Conan O’Brien may be moving to Fox. Lame. Dear NBC, you are the worst (not true for many other reasons, such as Thursday night amazingness, but regarding this, you the worst).
