Kanye recently promised to drop a new track off Dark Twisted Fantasy and Watch the Throne, his five-track collaboration album with Jay-Z, every Friday until Christmas. One week in and he’s followed through with the 6-minute rap epic that features Nicki Minaj, Jay-Z, Rick Ross, and Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon (one of these things is not like the other…)

There’s been a flurry of Kanye news over the past few days, but the two most exciting are obviously his new track with Beyonce (it’s called “See Me Now”, and you can download it for free at his website) and the news that he flew Justin Vernon (aka Bon Iver) out to his Hawaii studio. This can only mean one of two things: either he’s sampling a Bon Iver song, or he’s doing a full-on collab with the rustic troubadour. Both sound potentially game-changing.
Oh, and he let slip the album’s release date: November 16 (also known as my birthday. Not a bad b-day present, I must say)

Cults! Also, perhaps their song “Go Outside” is your song of the summer. How about you take Flavorwire’s quiz that probably wasn’t written by my but maybe was and find out.
